I KNOW!!! It's horrible, isn't it? And I don't think it looks any better today. In fact, it looks worse and you can tell that it's gotten bigger. I called the doctor's office tonight and they said if it's not noticeably better by noon tomorrow to call back. Emily has only had three doses of the antibiotic and they like to wait 24-hours before trying something new.
Speaking of the medicine...apparently, it tastes terrible. I spent close to 30-minutes tonight fighting with Emily about taking the medicine. I finally told her that if she didn't, her leg would continue to get sick and we might have to cut it off. I know. I'm a terrible, horrible mother for saying that to my child. But that didn't even phase her. I ended up wrapping myself around her, tilting her head back, and pouring the nasty pink medicine down her throat.
Anyway, we made up and even sat next to each other on the sofa for a while. She's asleep now and I'm hoping and praying the antibiotic is awake and working!
